I challenge you to not only set clear and specific goals, but also to set big goals. Not simply because the prize is bigger or better, but because of who you will become in the process of reaching your goals.
The person you become as you achieve your goals is more valuable than the goal itself. Also, while big goals can be a little scary at first, they also excite us and keep us motivated.
Grant Cardone’s business book “The 10X Rule” is an excellent read and challenges you to go big on your goals. His book challenges you to go HUGE on your goals and explains why you need to do so.
Okay, so you have a big goal that seems scary and impossible. What next?
Once you decided what it is that you want, plan it out. Divide your goals into small steps, then into even smaller, until you have a list of simple tasks to do each day. And make them so easy and quick that it will be impossible to say no. Create habits and routines that will lead you to take daily action towards your goals.
It’s the process that we need to work on daily while keeping our focus on the ultimate aim. Read more about habits and routine and you’ll see who these all start to synergies to make your success a reality. We may not notice a difference each day but the cumulative effect over time is extraordinary.
“The bigger and more unrealistic you goals are – and the more they’re aligned to your purpose and duty – the more they’ll energize and fuel your actions.” – Grant Cardone
